This policy explains what personal information Nurail.com collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. Nurail.com is operated by Metropolitan Pipe & Supply Co.
What we collect
- Contact and order details: your name, email, phone number, billing and shipping addresses, and what you order.
- Account details: if you create an account, your login and order history.
- Payment card details: your card number and expiration date, which are encrypted the moment they reach us and deleted once your payment is processed. We never collect your card's security code.
- Messages: anything you send through our contact form or by email.
- Technical data: basic information your browser sends, such as IP address and browser type, which our servers log for security and troubleshooting.
How we use it
- To process, ship and support your orders
- To answer your questions and help with returns or warranty claims
- To calculate shipping rates and sales tax
- To protect against fraud and keep the site secure
- To meet legal and accounting obligations
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't send marketing email unless you've asked to receive it.
Who we share it with
We share only what's needed with the companies that help us run the store: our shipping carrier and shipping-rate service (to quote and deliver your order), our website host, and our email provider. They may use your information only to provide those services to us. We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our customers or the public.
Cookies
We use cookies that are needed for the site to work, such as keeping items in your cart and keeping you signed in. If we add analytics or other optional cookies in the future, we'll update this policy.
How long we keep it
Encrypted card details are deleted when your payment is processed, and in any case within 30 days of your order. We keep order records as long as needed for warranty, tax and accounting purposes. Contact form messages are kept only as long as needed to help you.
Security
The site is served over an encrypted connection, card numbers are encrypted with a key that isn't stored on the web server in readable form, and access to order information is limited to staff who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Your choices
You can update your account details at any time from My Account. To ask what information we hold about you, or to have it corrected or deleted (where we're not required to keep it), call 1-800-METPIPE or use our contact page.
Children
Nurail.com isn't intended for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
We may update this policy as our practices change. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
